Improvisers Exchange will host an online, open classroom workshop with Sam Newsome and Improvisers Exchange students on the practice of music improvisation.

This program is partially supported by the Lorado Taft on Art Fund/College of Fine and Applied Arts, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Robert E. Brown Center for World Music, and School of Music. Sudden Sound is organized by Krannert Art Museum and Jason Finkelman, Director of Global Arts Performance Initiatives in the School of Music.

This webinar program invites students, educators, and the general public to view the session to gain insight on listening and performance strategies utilized by improvising musicians. Live audience members viewing the session can submit questions upon registration or during the presentation.
