Sudden Sound Concert: SO Live featuring Silver Ochre and Improvisers Exchange

Composer and keyboardist Thollem McDonas’ residency as a George A. Miller Visiting Artist concludes with SO Live, a collaborative site-specific audio/video experience featuring Silver Ochre, his duo with videographer ACVilla, with members of Improvisers Exchange.

ACVilla's work focuses the eye on the parallels of reality shaping and defining each moment of our lives within and without our perception. Thollem Electric emits a sonic amalgam of infinite possibilities from modified keyboards and stomp boxes, celebrating the immense array of diversity in our multi-cultural society amid the present and historical struggles for liberty and justice for all.  Silver Ochre is “the kind of fiercely independent artists the world needs more of" (LiveEyeTV).

This concert is presented with support from the George A. Miller Committee and the CAS Improvisers Exchange Initiative. Additional sponsorship provided by the Center for Advanced Studies, Kathleen Harleman, Analog Outfitters, School of Music, and Krannert Art Museum with in-kind support provided by WEFT, 90.1 FM. Sudden Sound is organized by Jason Finkelman.
