Allen Stringfellow, an important and understudied Champaign native, has dedicated his lifelong pursuits to the celebration of African-American life and culture.

Focusing predominantly on the themes of jazz music, dance, and African-American history, this exhibition paid tribute to Stringfellow's artistic career and facility working with a variety of mediums, including collage, watercolor, and paper mâché sculpture.
