Original call for Artwork: May 2, 2020

Calling all students! This time of sheltering in place and quarantining can bring up a wide mix of emotions and art can be a great way for you to showcase your creativity and express yourself.

We invite you to create and submit digital images of artwork in whatever art medium you chose (2D, 3D, crayons, paint, clay, etc).

Once you have finished your expressive piece, we ask that you or a parent/guardian take a picture to display it here on the Facebook event page.

To learn more about the story behind the artwork, older artists and guardians are invited to complete a submission form detailing information about the artwork.

Teachers can fill out the form if submitting for an entire class or school. Pieces gathered from this project will be compiled and displayed in a video airing on Urbana Public Television and archived by Museum of the Grand Prairie for potential use as future historical documents.

Students of all ages from Champaign County are encouraged to submit their artwork. Submit your art to Art In a Time of Quarantine.

The Art in the Time of Quarantine Exhibition is co-sponsored by: Chambanamoms, Krannert Art Museum, KOOP Adventure Play, Museum of the Grand Prairie, and the City of Urbana Arts and Culture Program.
