The first annual KAM Fest is on August 30 from 7–8:30 pm and will feature live music, free Maize tacos, screen printing stations, and a student pop-up exhibition.
As a way to celebrate University of Illinois student artists, we invite you to submit your own work to be displayed in the Hood Classroom Gallery in the lower level of Krannert Art Museum.
KAM Fest is expected to draw more than 300 visitors to all parts of the museum, so your artwork will be seen by many in the university and local community.
How to Submit Artwork
Requirements:
- Artists must be University of Illinois students—graduate or undergraduate—any major
- Artwork must be original and complete upon submission
- No framed artwork is allowed, but we encourage artwork on canvas, prints (unmounted or on foam core), video art, sound, sculpture, and zines
- KAM does not insure the artwork for this pop-up
Submission:
- Submit up to 4 artwork entries using the KAM Fest Pop-Up submission form
- No entry fee
- Deadline is midnight on August 10
- Organizers will contact you about your entry by August 17
If your artwork is accepted, organizers Aimee Schneider and Samit Sinha will schedule an appointment at Krannert Art Museum to talk about installation and presentation in the gallery, including any constraints on installation in the Hood Classroom Gallery.
