This hands-on workshop will provide many examples of ways to combine language arts and fine arts. Participants will examine various types of artworks (portraits, narrative scenes, and abstract paintings) by focusing on literary elements (character, setting, sequence of events, etc.).
In addition, participants will learn several writing activities that use works of art, which encourage students to observe closely, think critically, and use their imagination.
