Presented in conjunction with Stitching Ecologies: Urbana-Champaign Satellite Crochet Coral Reef, this community crochet gathering invites participants to stitch, create, and connect while learning more about the worldwide Crochet Coral Reef project. Created by Christine and Margaret Wertheim through the Institute For Figuring, the Crochet Coral Reef brings together art, science, and mathematics to reflect on the beauty—and vulnerability—of coral reef ecosystems. All skill levels are welcome—no experience necessary. Materials are provided.

We offer a variety of accessibility supports to help ensure all visitors can fully participate. Contact us at kam-accessibility@illinois.edu with any questions or to request accommodations.
