About the Curator
Kathryn Koca Polite is Assistant Curator and Publications Specialist at Krannert Art Museum, where she has worked in various capacities since 2006. Working primarily with the museum’s twentieth century collection, her projects often focus on underrepresented artists and histories. She also oversees the museum's publications program, collaborating with artists, authors, and designers to bring exhibitions and scholarship to print. In addition to two exhibitions opening this fall at Krannert Art Museum—In Search of a Future and Centering Clay: Connection and Innovation in American Studio Ceramics—her 2020 exhibition, Pressing Issues: Printmaking as Social Justice in 1930s US, will open in September at the Chazen Museum of Art in Madison, Wisconsin.
