The primary objective of the Freedom Forum is to provide an academic forum for discussion between faculty, students, staff, and community members about recent events. 

This Freedom Forum discussion will center on recent events in Charlottesville, Virginia and formulate a response to the possibility of 'alt-right' white supremacist actions on campus. The panel will discuss women, gender, and sexualities in relation to Black freedom, forging a politics of solidarity, and comprehending the resurgence of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and anti-Semitism in the United States in a global context.
