Attic Talent is a duo exploring surrealistic blends of melodic, haunting, and beautiful sound with original projection art featuring Darin Gray (upright bass, percussion, electronics) and Robert Beatty (electronics, visuals). While best known as a bassist regularly on tour with TWEEDY, On Fillmore, Jim O’Rourke, and William Tyler, Gray’s prepared bass and electronics setup has been featured in collaborations with leading improvisers in Chicago, Europe, Brazil, and Japan. Gray has been collaborating with Lexington, Kentucky-based visual artist and electronic musician Robert Beatty for the past three years, releasing their debut album in correlation with this Sudden Sound performance.
