Krannert Art Museum, in the exhibition Jen Everett: Could you dim the lights?

Inspired by community sourcing via bulletin boards and online “in search of” postings, the Rest Lab: In Search of Rest pop-up installation at the Graduate College has gathered anonymous handwritten requests from community members seeking rest. Join us in responding to these requests through art-making, letter writing, or other creative offerings.

We will gather in the exhibition Jen Everett: Could you dim the lights? to explore how we might rest and feel well by creating connections with each other across time and place. After the program, the creative responses and requests will return to their window display installation at the Graduate College.

This program will be led by Krannert Art Museum Education Coordinators Ishita Dharap and Kamila Glowacki. Your comfort and ability to participate fully is important to us. Please email us at kam-accessibility@illinois.edu if you have any questions or would like to request an accommodation.

Portions of Krannert Art Museum are currently under construction. The accessible, step-free entry to the museum is available via the ramp at the north entrance to the Link Gallery, nearest to the Siebel Center for Design. To easily access this entrance, please park in Lot E18 via Fourth St. (free parking in this lot after 5pm). Go toward the end of the parking lot, and you will encounter a wooden ramp that leads to automated doors to the Link Gallery. Once in the building, Krannert Art Museum is clearly marked through the glass doors to the left.
