Taiwanese musicians-in-residence the Wang-Chen Duo will present an open improvisation workshop at Krannert Art Museum as they engage with the university students in the Improviser's Exchange class. The workshop will be followed by a concert with local ensemble Compost Q at 7:30 pm.
The Wang-Chen Duo is comprised of Yu-Chen Wang (gu-zheng, Chinese zither) and Han-Jui "Henry" Chen (DMA '14, double bass), who have returned to campus for a week-long residency sponsored by the George A. Miller Committee, the School of Music, and the CAS Improviser's Exchange.
The duo will perform in venues across campus during the week of October 29, including solo concerts and ensemble performances at Smith Memorial Hall and Spurlock Museum's Knight Auditorium, and culminating in a free workshop and Friday evening concert at Krannert Art Museum.
