The Museum hosted an international symposium, Proust 2000 , featuring lectures on Proust's questions relating to aesthetics, time and memory. From a Sienese painting to glass vessels by Proust's contemporary Emile Gall��, whose creations he admired, objects and images were chosen to embody the selections of archival texts.
