This traveling exhibition featured 45 spectacular pieces of ancient Iranian pottery.

These beautiful, technically sophisticated and often amusing ceramics mark a rich yet little known tradition that equals pre-Columbian American, Chinese, and Greek achievements. KAM also mounted a companion exhibition featuring related ceramics and bronzes from the Museum's own collection. Programming included "Pots in Perspective," an informal panel discussion led by Trudi Kawami from the Sackler Foundation with Illinois faculty, guided gallery talks, and a hands-on ceramics workshop for throwing and glazing pots in the Iranian style.
