The project contains several stages and will impact visitors in the following ways:
- Passenger elevator access to the lower level will be restricted to the Kinkead Pavilion elevator, near the accessible Sixth Street entrance to the museum. Signs have been placed in the museum to direct visitors who need to use the elevator. Alternate elevator use will be required the week of October 8-14 and from January through mid-April. If you have questions or need assistance, please ask a museum guard.
- The repair will involve the use of equipment that may be loud at times. Noise will be heard in the lower level galleries and Espresso Royale Café, but should not hinder classes or presentations in the galleries or the KAM Auditorium.
- Work on these projects is designed to enhance the safety of the facility and may continue for several months. Updates may be posted as work progresses.
