In May 2026, the Krannert Art Museum Council hosted a gala evening that invited members, friends, and art lovers to come together to celebrate the museum’s collection and to help it grow in new and exciting ways.
The fourth Acquired Taste Celebration drew 100+ guests. The evening included dinner, curator talks, and voting on which work of art to purchase for the collection. The winning work of art was a painting proposed by Maureen Warren, Small Landscape: City of Hope by Yao Jui-Chung.
The painting will be on view as part of Ink Shower: Contemporary Taiwanese Artists Reimagine Tradition (November 5, 2026–February 27, 2027). Yao will be visiting from Taiwan in November, speaking on campus and leading an exhibition tour.
