Virtual event

Following a brief meeting of the Krannert Art Museum Council, all can enjoy a talk by John E. Bannon, Chicago-based artist, educator, and University of Illinois alumnus. He will speak on "Further Explorations of Perception," connecting his work as a student at the U of I to his current artist residency at Allerton Park and Retreat Center

This event is open to all and sponsored by the Krannert Art Museum Council

This March, John E. Bannon, Chicago-based multimedia artist/educator and University of Illinois alumnus, began his journey as the inaugural resident artist at Allerton, living on-site to fully engage with and seek inspiration from the art, history, and nature of Allerton Park. Bannon has work in public and private collections worldwide, and plans to create something for Allerton that incorporates the already unique and unexpected experiences of the Park.
