Student Marketing & Communications Position
Want to work in a museum? The Krannert Art Museum seeks part-time student employee(s) to join our communications team. Students in this position will work closely with museum leaders to enhance our storytelling efforts through digital and print media. Duties may include:
• Composing and publishing website updates for news and events
• Drafting, scheduling, and posting social media content
• Design support like editing images and videos, and creating graphics
• Attending various events to capture imagery like photography or video
Students will have the opportunity to be a part of a fun, energetic, creative team and gain experience in a professional environment. Students will be paid an hourly rate of $15/hr and expected to work 6–10 hours a week. The schedule is flexible and will be coordinated with the supervisor. Student appointments are paid positions and are not eligible for course credit. Interested students should send an email to esha@illinois.edu and include a summary of their experience/interest.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position is creative, resourceful, and passionate about storytelling and reaching a wide range of audiences. Students must be team players who enjoy working with people and feel comfortable in a creative and fast-paced environment. Experience with writing, photography, graphic design, website management, social media, videography, and media editing preferred.
